The WrestleMania fever is over for this year. But the sight of the breathtaking matches and moments still lingers in our eyes. One of the matches on the card featured Brock Lesnar vs Omos opening the 2nd night of WrestleMania at SoFi stadium.

The match was clearly going one-sided at the start with the brutal manhandling of ‘The Beast by the Nigerian giant. Omos did everything right until trying an unsuccessful splash in the corner. This futile effort paved the way for Lesnar to fight back with several German suplexes and it eventually led to the defeat of the 403 lb heavyweight giant, getting hit with an F5.

There have been rumors regarding his retirement from the business for a while now. During an interview with ESPN MMA, Lesnar finally addressed the issue. Without giving much clarity upon it, Lesnar articulated, ‘Every time that I think I want to be done and I am looking to then I get in the ring I get to the building and that’s the part of the business and that I really love. I left the business early because I just didn’t like to travel I didn’t like I need to feel I’m just too much for me at the time and uh but I don’t know I don’t know how much more I’m gonna be around, I don’t know that.’

While ‘The Conqueror ‘doesn’t know how much time he has left in his tank before retirement, he can clearly recollect a time when he was truly on the verge of hanging up his boots for good.

His defeat at WrestleMania 36 main event against Drew McIntyre made him believe that he was done with wrestling for good. Speaking with Daniel Cornier, he reflected on his feelings and thoughts during that time, saying, ‘In 2020, I retired and was gonna be just done because I had my twenty years in. COVID hit. My contract was up. I had my very first wrestling match in Hamel, Minnesota, in an empty garage. And there I was twenty years later, fighting Drew McIntyre in front of no people for the WWE Championship. And I was like, ‘You know what? It has come full circle. And I was truly done.’

Thankfully for his fans, Lesnar decided to return to WWE and has kept them entertained ever since. Speaking of the immediate future of Brock Lesnar, it seems like he will not go anywhere likely at least till next year’s WrestleMania.
