Recently, Logan Paul clarified his comments about Algerian Olympic boxer Imane Khelif. The WWE superstar admitted to the fact that he might have been too hasty in criticizing the boxer as well as the officials of the Paris Olympics. The issue arose after the Algerian boxer won her first match against Italy’s Angela Carini in just 46 seconds after the Italian decided to quit. This led several fans to drop a bombshell by revealing that prior to the bout, it was revealed that Imane Khelif had failed an undisclosed gender test back in 2023.

This failure of the test should’ve stopped her from being a part of the World Championship. Although the exact nature of the test or results is still unclear. However, reports indicate that the Algerian had higher levels of testosterone. What further fueled the fire was the fact that there are rumors that Khelif has XY chromosomes which are biologically found in males.

This led several celebrities and media personalities, including Paul, to quickly come to a conclusion and criticize the Olympic Committee for letting Khelif be a part of the major event. However, this seems to be the case of half knowledge being more poisonous than being one with no knowledge instead. It has now been revealed by several reports that Khelif was in fact born female.

A revelation that led the Maverick to delete his initial post. He further had to release a statement in which he acknowledged the fact that he may have unintentionally spread false information about the Algerian boxer. He uploaded a tweet with the header “OOPSIES,” as he admitted to being wrong. However, WWE superstar LA Knight decided to take a shot at Paul by uploading a video of him with the caption “OOPSIES” as he sat in the Maverick’s PRIME truck. The same truck that he stole as he headed off into the night.

However, it seems like the WWE wasn’t a big fan of the caption. As they made Knight change it to further hush Paul’s latest issue with the Olympics. There are reports that Logan Paul was asked to taper down his stance by WWE PR. So they are trying to fix the PR debacle. As a result, Knight’s new caption reads, “Couple dings on the Prime truck tonight…followed by a ding-ding-ding tomorrow night at #SummerSlam…YEAH!” Well, it surely looks like the WWE would now want to keep the Maverick as far away from boxing as they can. Something that wouldn’t be that hard considering that Paul now prefers being a wrestler to a boxing star.

Logan Paul on his future in boxing

Logan Paul already has multiple matches of experience in WWE and is the longest-serving United States Champion in the last decade. In the meantime, he has continued to pursue boxing. Albeit to a lesser extent. In addition to his personal non-wrestling projects as PRIME.

Logan Paul gave a few words on the Fred Talks Fighting YouTube channel after his brother won a boxing match. There, he talked about his future in the sport. He said, “I’ll only hop back in the ring with a fight that excites me. I don’t have the desire to. No. No, I felt like I did the Floyd thing. You know, I need to be inspired by the dance part. I got a good thing going on in the WWE, bro. I’m the United States champion, and I’m much better at wrestling than I am at boxing.”
