To say that Dwayne Johnson is the finest export from WWE to Hollywood would be an understatement. The People’s Champ has made it big in showbiz as he has worked in some of the most successful movie franchises. The Rock had already been a household name since his WWE days. However, his popularity soared since his transition to the acting profession. And his fan following has risen ten folds in the past few years.

His work in the Fast and Furious franchise, San Andreas, and recently released Black Adam has skyrocketed his stardom to unimaginable levels. And has raised comparisons with the yesteryear action stalwarts like Sylvester Stallone and Arnold Schwarzenegger.
The WWE legend was just starting in the movie industry in the early 2000s. He appeared in a 2001 episode of the talk show hosted by Conan O’Brien, for the first time. The Rock talked about his WWE persona and his nascent Hollywood career at that time. Johnson was asked whether he would be the next big action hero and if he had met the famous Arnold Schwarzenegger.

He replied, “Yeah absolutely, he’s been really supportive. I’ve gone out to dinner with him a couple of times. He’s come out to see me perform at our shows.”
“So he’s been great, He’s hit me with (In Schwarzenegger’s voice, “Ah, Rock you’re fantastic, Rock. People’s eyebrow and everything”) he’s been great,” added the 10-times world champion.
Schwarzenegger, like The Rock, built his career in a different field before starring in movies. He had a stupendous bodybuilding career and is considered one of the pioneers of the sport. The action hero went on to capture the Mr. Olympia titles 7 times in a row to etch his immortal legacy in bodybuilding.

He made his first movie appearance as far back as 1970. Even though his breakout role came in the 1982 movie ‘Conan The Barbarian’. Schwarzenegger quickly built a reputation as a top-action hero owing to his towering physique. He would go on to star in successful movie ventures such as ‘Commando’ and later on ‘The Terminator’ franchise.
