“One Inch Bigger Than Mr. Olympia”: Arnold Schwarzenegger Once Exposed Millionaire WWE Legend’s Blatant Lie

If one thing launched the career of Arnold Schwarzenegger into the heights of legend status, it was coming to Hollywood. Starring in some of the most iconic action movies of all time helped garner a public image that exists even today. The Terminator series or The Expendable series, Conan the Barbarian, or even Commando helped usher in a new wave of audiences for the superstar.

After a gold rush of Arnold’s classics, there were many children who were influenced by his muscles and charisma. This even led to many wrestlers finding their footing in the wrestling industry as well. But with this wrestler, it seems like Arnold played a hard but funny game all the time.

On the set of Predator, Jesse Ventura was asked what was his biggest thrill while filming this movie. The WWE legend replied, “Biggest thrill for me was when we hit wardrobe and I happened to view Arnold’s wardrobe tape and when my arms taped out one inch bigger than Mr. Olympia, that made Jesse Ventura feel pretty good.”

To which Arnold replied, “Well, I’m pretty happy about that because then my joke rocked. Because I told the wardrobe department to tell him that, so I can bet him a bottle of champagne after he comes to the gym. He came to the gym two days later, and says, “You know something, Arnold? We should measure our arms, who has bigger arms,” I said. Of course, we should and bet a bottle of champagne on it. Then we measured it and my arm was three inches bigger than his. He lost the champagne bet. You know the psycho tricks, they work on everybody, bodybuilder, and wrestlers.”

Fun fact is that Schwarzenegger and Ventura would both go on to become figure heads in the political sphere. The Predator is actually one of the few movies that featured two political heads in the lead roles. Apart from that, this movie is also both actors’ finest work and has gone on to become a must-watch for any Hollywood and action fan.
