The debutant themed his UFC arrival with the legendary WWE Hall of Famer’s entrance music. The nod to the Deadman by the 6ft 3-inch UFC Newbee was the ultimate display of the power and respect the Phenom still holds over the entire sports and entertainment world.

Michael “Venom” Page pulled out The Undertaker’s iconic entrance into his spectacular UFC debut

MVP, Michael “Venom” Page, has been a prolific figure even before jumping ship to the UFC realm. He had a rich history of battling in Bellator. Despite not owning a title to his name there, Page’s unique and seamless antics made him a star to cherish. Now, as he makes new strides in his career bringing his mojo to the UFC octagon, he wanted to debut in striking fashion. When the spotlight revealed the intimidating figure of Page cloaked in a dark robe and hat, mirroring The Undertaker’s signature attire, it curated a surreal atmosphere in the arena.

The spirit of the Deadman helped Page score a unanimous decision victory over Kevin Holland. However, it’s not the first time The Phenom’s been referenced in the UFC foray. Israel Adesanya did it a while back.

Israel Adesanya is the predecessor of this practice

The two-time UFC champion Israel Adesanya has always been carrying an affinity for WWE and its superstars. It eventually prompted him to imitate The Undertaker’s iconic walkout coupled with his theme song and many other tiny details. Starting from the Deadman’s iconic hat and that signature urn, Adesanya’s entrance to the octagon at UFC 276 was as WWE-colored as he planned it to be.

The ‘Last Stylebender’ later mentioned where his motive to recreate The Undertaker flavor stemmed from. The world-class MMA fighter revealed he found a host of songs on his childhood playlist tripping down memory lane. One of them was The Deadman’s.

”I have like 20 different tracks from superstars I admire… and The Undertaker’s theme was one of them,” the UFC Champion noted.
