Last month in April, UFC’s parent company, Endeavour, bought WWE. The sale of the company was sanctioned for a sum of $21 billion dollars. Moreover, Endeavour CEO, Ari Emanuel, revealed that Dana White and Vince McMahon will have control over their respective promotions.

The two biggest sports entertainment giants joining hands have created a buzz in the internet world. Ever since the news came out, it has left everyone talking. Dwayne Johnson recently gave his take on how he thinks the merger between WWE and UFC will go.

‘The Rock’ was the special guest on CNBC’s Squawk on the Street’. During the interview, he commented on how he thinks both sports promotions would move ahead and function under the same company umbrella after the WWE-UFC merger.

He stated he feels the merger was going to turn out great. And he expects there to be no hindrance in the operations of both companies. He said, “I see smooth sailing with those guys. They’ve known each other for a very long time. We all have, as a matter of fact, and I see smooth sailing with this. This has been a long time coming.”

When the merger news broke out, fans went vocal about not wanting Mr. McMahon in WWE. But DJ’s statement subtly hints that if it weren’t for the Executive Chairman of WWE, two of the biggest sports entertainment giants wouldn’t have come together to join hands.

Johnson recently connected with Vince McMahon

During the interview, ‘The Corporate Champion’ confessed to speaking to ‘The Diabolical Owner of WWE’ lately. However, he didn’t reveal the contents of his conversation. He said, “There have been some big deals in the wrestling space, yes. We can talk about that in a second. I just connected with Vince the other day.”

Coming back to the merger, he said that he believes both promotions will give the audience something unique. He also mentioned that he is excited about this merger. He also compared Mr. McMahon’s story to his own story; how both of them built themselves and everything they own from the ground up.
