“It’s a Real Mystery”: Joe Rogan Names One Thing About Brock Lesnar That Leaves Him Puzzled to Date

Brock Lesnar is one of the few stars who conquered the combat sports world with an iron fist. At one time both the pro wrestling and MMA world were vying for the presence of Lesnar. In WWE, he proved his worth as a star with a charisma that can attract big crowds. But in UFC, Lesnar showed that he is a man who can prove his strength to real fighters all over the world.

Joe Rogan opens up about a real mystery about Brock Lesnar

Sitting down with WWE legend Hulk Hogan, Joe Rogan talked about a lot in his newest The Joe Rogan Experience podcast episode. From cannabis to Hogan’s career to another wrestler that Rogan knows all too well, the two started talking about Brock Lesnar. This led Rogan to reveal the one mystery about The Beast Incarnate that he hasn’t been able to crack.

He said, “Then, there was a problem with diverticulitis. So, he had to get a long section of his intestine removed. I believe it was his intestine. I don’t know how you get diverticulitis. Anthony Bourdain told me it’s a real mystery because you can get it from a seed. People say you get it if you eat too much meat, which isn’t the case.” One thing that wasn’t very clear in the MMA world was the reason why Lesnar left it.

Some said it was the money problem and others claimed that Lesnar didn’t want to diminish his reputation as a monster. But in reality, the reason was his illness. Diverticulitis is a medical condition in which inflammation or infection in one or more small pouches in the digestive tract occurs. This can lead to severe pain in the abdomen and may require surgery as in the case of Lesnar.

But why was there such a ruckus about Lesnar’s exit from MMA even when he was a professional wrestler?

Unlike anyone else who entered the industry, Lesnar came up to Dana White and outright demanded to fight the company’s best fighters. Having won the UFC World title in less than a year, he proved that he was more than capable of backing his words.

His impact on the MMA world showed everyone that pro wrestling wasn’t all theatrics and added legitimacy and respect to those coming from the squared circle.

Even though he went out with two back-to-back defeats during his first stint, Lesnar showed his star power and that he was a force to be reckoned with in the octagon. His UFC career also displayed Lesnar’s true character beyond the monster persona in WWE as well.
