Colby Covington may be in the UFC but he definitely has his eyes on WWE. If not essentially the sport or the company, he has his ears on the theme songs WWE has used for Legends such as Kurt Angle.

During an interview, Covington was asked how he felt when he walked out to Angle’s old theme song. It seems like he is enjoying the ‘Spoils of War’ that Kurt Angle’s old theme song is bringing along with it.

“Every time I hear the crowd saying ‘You Suck’, it’s such a freaking humbling experience. It’s just beautiful, I love it. You know, they’re playing right into my game. I have everybody right where I want them. They’re in my trap, in my web and it’s just beautiful.”

Colby Covington ensured to take permission from Kurt Angle before using his old theme song. While it wasn’t necessary, an unspoken decorum exists between athletes from all fields. Combat-sport is no different!

“I would never have used that song if I didn’t personally ask Kurt Angle. He gave me permission to use that song and recreate these moments and get the crown into the show. Some of them loved me, some of them hated me, but they were entertaining and they got their money’s worth.”

Colby Covington could use other theme songs

During the same interview, Covington was asked if he’s interested in using other theme songs from WWE, such as Hulk Hogan’s. The fighter gave an interesting answer, indicating he’s got some plans up his sleeve.

“I’m the king of spoilers but I can’t be revealing that yet. You gotta tune in to see. I definitely got some surprises in store and some beautiful things that I have planned for the future in future events. But, I can’t reveal them here. It’s like watching the beginning of a movie, you digo get to see the end. You gotta pay attention to see.”
