One of the greatest names in the pro wrestling industry, John Cena once found himself at the receiving end of a UFC fighter’s threat. While not anything serious, the UFC fighter was ready to take on the 16-time World Champion to win over Nikki Bella in 2019, a year after she and Cena split up.

John Cena proposed to Nikki Bella at WrestleMania 33 after defeating the couple duo of The Miz and Maryse. However, in 2019, the 36-year-old former UFC Bantamweight Champion openly discussed his love for Nikki Bella and even dared to fight John Cena to win her love.

36-year-old Henry Cejudo is widely known for his profound love for WWE Hall of Famer Nikki Bella. Back in 2019, Cejudo had discussed his fondness for Bella during his meeting with Ariel Helwani. He even termed Bella as his good luck charm after meeting her on a flight during his fight against TJ Dillashaw.

And, soon after Bella would send him a congratulations video, after his win. Later, he would meet TMZ for an interview, and discuss his fondness for Nikki Bella, and also his niece’s love for her. He stated, “I like it. You know, wrestling was my first love. What’s better than do with the girl that everybody’s freaking drooling over.”

Cejudo continued with, “You know. I met her on the plane on my way toward the UFC. I’m a big fan, I’ve watched the show. My little niece is like the biggest Nikki Bella fan. To my lucky charm, now she’s calling me out on social media.”

Further down the interview, he even showed guts to fight the 39-year-old’s Ex, John Cena in a fight. He said, “Is that even a question? Do you smell what the messenger is cooking? I’m talking about a ladder match. I’ll be first one to get out of that ring. And I’ll be waiting for Bella right at the corner man.”

Cejudo also started openly flirting with Bella, and called her out with, “Nikki Bella, I ask you to allow Henry Cejudo to grab you and piledrive that heart.” All of this was done in good humor, as both Cejudo and Bella consented to these cheesy activities. And it showed the fun side of both of these two athletes.

Bella and Cena were engaged from 2017 to 2018 and broke off a few weeks prior to their wedding mainly due to their disagreement over starting a family. While Bella is currently married and has a kid with Artem Chigvintsev, Cena is happily married to Shay Shariatzadeh.
