Who is Tony Ferguson training with?

Ferguson has worked extremely hard to be where he is in the UFC World today. Of course, to reach a position like he has in the combat sports industry, one has to be trained properly.

Reportedly, Ferguson added legendary boxing trainer Freddie Roach to his list of coaches. In fact, he had released all of his cornermen after he suffered a defeat at the hands of Charles Oliveira at UFC 256.

Since then, he made the changes that helped him get back in the picture much stronger. He started training with Roach at Roach’s Wild Card Gym in Los Angeles. Additionally, he worked with boxing Olympian Pepe Reilly during the same time.

Apart from Freddie Roach, Ferguson worked with his old college wrestling coach Dave Mills and UFC veteran Ben Saunders. More than working with them, he added the duo to his cornermen.

However, throughout all of his training, he was always in touch with WWE Megastar Brock Lesnar.

Brock Lesnar was Tony Ferguson coach during Ferguson’s time on TUF 13 as a part of Team Lesnar

It was Lesnar who trained Ferguson for TUF season 13 which aired in 2011 He was a part of Brock Lesnar’s team which went up against Team dos Santos at the tournament.

Under the training of Lesnar, Tony Ferguson went onto climbing the ladders at TUF 13 and even won the tournament.

He’s always ensured to stay in touch with Lesnar since and take his advice whenever needed from Coach Brock Lesnar.

Over the years The Beast has been trained by quite a few coaches. Some of the ones who have spoken about him or he has spoken about are Marty Morgan, Greg Nelson, Erik Paulson, Rodrigo Medeiros, and Peter Welch.
