His UFC career didn’t yield him any big achievements as he lost both his fights badly. However, he’s very knowledgable about mixed martial arts in general and doesn’t refrain from giving his precious two cents.
CM Punk on the upcoming Fight Island
The COVID-19 situation made many sports cancel events and shows. Dana White, however, wants to see real action.
The Fight Island is a man-made island in Abu Dhabi. His close relationship with Abu-Dhabi based group Flash Entertainment made things easy for the UFC President.
Fighters can now fly to Abu Dhabi and take part in their bouts.
CM Punk was rather concerned with the upcoming UFC events. He did acknowledge that they are doing a good job of making the environment safe.
However, he is concerned about the safety of the fighters.
“I think it’s selfish to say you want sports to come back and you don’t care about the pandemic. You just want to be entertained. I think they’ve done a good job. The main thing you need to do is to test people and limit the amount of personnel involved in any kind of sporting event, which is really impossible to do in my opinion,” CM Punk said.

Even though the idea of watching the sport is interesting, the former WWE Superstar is really worried about their health.
CM Punk said, “I think it’s a great racking fun idea. It keeps me entertained, but my biggest thing is the health and the safety of the fighters. I think pretty much UFC has done a great job so far.”
Punk also added that he has become more empathetic these days. He doesn’t want to be entertained with the cost of other’s health.

“In my older age, I become more empathetic and concerned about humanity of things. I love great fights but I don’t want to see any sport at the expense of anybody’s health,” Punk stated.
Punk’s concern for the fighters is genuine. Although, the UFC team will do everything possible to make their fighters and personnel safe. We wish everything goes well.
