WWE superstar Brock Lesnar is admired for many attributes of his personality. Among those, his massive build and tremendous shape stand out the most. Ever since his debut in 2002, he has always captured the fans’ imagination with dominating performances. And a major factor in his success has been the sheer force and brute strength that he brings to his matches. Weighing in at an impressive 285 pounds, he has proved to be a force to reckon with, be it in a WWE ring or the UFC octagon.
But an athlete?s momentum could be unfortunately halted due to a serious injury or as it happened in Lesnar?s case, a serious ailment.

The Beast left the WWE initially in 2004 and was cruising in his MMA endeavors. In 2009, he would be diagnosed with diverticulitis and was forced to pull out of a title eliminator match against Junior dos Santos. The wrestler had to go under the knife to ward off the serious medical predicament.
Lesnar, in his 2011 autobiography Death Clutch has explained the circumstances around his recovery from the serious ailment that he suffered. He has also described the changes in his diet that he had to make to return to his best.
Road to recovery for Brock Lesnar
In one of the excerpts from the book, he wrote, ?I was feeling much healthier than before. I would joke around a lot about never eating my veggies before, but diverticulitis changed my outlook on a lot of things, and one of the important changes was that I was now watching everything that went past my lips.?
?When you quickly go from being a 280-pound warrior without a single doubt in your mind to being sick, helpless, and dependent, it better change your outlook or you haven?t learned your lesson.? wrote Lesnar.
Bouncing back to his best
The hard yards put in by The Conqueror during his recovery would pay off. As he defeated Steve Carwin via submission in his next foray into the octagon. Winning the UFC Heavyweight Championship in the process as well.

Lesnar had to adapt his diet and training methods to attain longevity in his combat sports career. At the age of 45, he is still going strong with regular hard-hitting encounters in WWE. The Beast Incarnate recently bested The Almighty Bobby Lashley in an intense clash at Crown Jewel.

Brock Lesnar, through his own admission, was not picky about his diet until a serious ailment affected him. But his sheer will to return to the top helped change his approach toward his eating habits. And the WWE superstar is now surely reaping the benefits of the important lessons he learned during recovery.
