What disability did Ronda Rousey suffer from?

Ronda’s past is more tragic than you think. Being one of the most successful female athletes is one thing, and suffering from life-altering events is another.

As a child, WWE superstar Ronda Rousey suffered from a rare type of neurological speech disorder called apraxia. Because of this disorder, she was incapable of making coherent sentences, and this happened for the first six years of her life.

Apraxia is a motor speech disorder where the brain has problems coordinating with the body parts like lips, jaw, and tongue. It is such a rare disorder that Ronda’s family couldn’t figure out the best solution for her daughter.
