Conor McGregor has done it all inside the octagon and has built a reputation which no other fighter could replicate. However, the double champ has recently spoken his mind about India and its people.
The former UFC Lightweight Champion recently took to Twitter and claimed that in his soul, he is an Indian, and wrote about the diversity of the second-most populous country on the planet.
But what could be the reason that the ‘Notorious’ one has his eyes set on India? Maybe Conor has taken a liking to India’s culture or maybe it’s because he wants to launch his whiskey brand – ‘Proper Twelve’, in the Indian market.

Rooting for the Indians to make a stamp in this game soon! Quite very possibly the most respectful and caring nationality I’ve ever met in my life, the Indians. Let’s go India 🇮🇳 ❤️ https://t.co/n8A01xwpJ9

Pro-wrestling is very prominent among the Indians, and the former WWE World Heavyweight Champion, The Great Khali who once defeated the top names of WWE, is also an Indian.

However, this cannot be said for MMA though. However, ‘Notorious’ is inarguably the most popular MMA star in the world. Therefore, McGregor’s latest interest in Indians might help the sport to boom in India.

Could this all be to promote his alcohol brand?
We all know that McGregor is a successful business owner, and half of his wealth comes from the various business deals he does in his life. Therefore, this could all mean that the Irishman is willing to promote his whiskey brand in the Indian territories.

Being the second-most populous country, India could become one major market for McGregor’s whiskey brand – ‘Proper Twelve’, and given his mass following, the sales over there can easily surpass any previous benchmarks.
