Conor McGregor is no stranger to getting into verbal spats with pro wrestlers. He has spoken out against pro wrestling in the past, which has resulted in fiery conversation with many wrestling stars. The former UFC Champion often speaks out his mind and his trash talking can make for some fun banter. Recently, The Notorious seems to have found himself in the middle of a feud between MMA fighter Patrick ‘Paddy’ Pimblett and a top AEW star.

Though McGregor loves getting into confrontations and has often taken shots at professional wrestling, he has stayed away from that for some time. However, he responded recently after AEW World Champion Maxwell Jacob Friedman mentioned him during his online banter with Paddy Pimblett. This in turn led to MJF taking a dig at McGregor in his recent tweet. As this crossover between AEW and UFC gathers heat, fans online responded to MJF’s comments about the Irish fighter.

Fans respond to MJF trash-talking about Conor McGregor and Pimblett

A few days ago, new AEW World Champion MJF got into an online squabble with UFC fighter Paddy Pimblett. It began after Paddy took a shot at Friedman after he made a comment on an MJF interview on Instagram. The two got into a banter in the comment section. In one of the comments, the AEW star referred to Pimblett as a ‘dollar store Conor McGregor.

Many news outlets picked up this online confrontation and the news soon reached The Notorious Conor McGregor. He responded to this interaction by tweeting out his support for Pimblett and refusing to acknowledge MJF.

This led to the AEW wrestler calling out both McGregor and Pimblett.

As this interaction went viral, fans shared their reactions to the whole issue on social media. A lot of fans admired MJF for his ability but warned an in-ring confrontation with McGregor won’t end well for the Salt of the Earth.

Some fans were eager to see McGregor will show up in AEW and seemed excited about a promo battle between him and MJF.

Within a few days of being AEW World Champion, MJF has started to get attention from some big names. This also bodes well for AEW after they announced a tour to the United Kingdom next year where Pimblett is from. Although with MJF picking up on two MMA fighters, he may have a bit more than he can chew.
