During his long stint at WWE, John Cena was one of the most adored figures in wrestling. It could be small children who saw him as their idol or adults who were influenced by his infectious aura. Cena’s fanbase had people in all age groups. The wrestling fanbase also passionately adored Cena in a different way. However, like in any other star in the sport, Cena also had his fair share of haters and critics.

They were very vocal during his matches and desperately wanted someone else to dethrone him. But now that Cena has left WWE, they are begging the 16-time World Champ to return. His charisma and skill always did one thing, he generated a reaction from any sort of crowd.

But this time, when the entire DC fanbase and series-binging clubs love Cena for his work on Peacemaker and Suicide Squad, there is still one critic who won’t leave him. But surprisingly, this critic is a UFC legend who has bashed WWE and wrestling in the past as well.

John Cena gets berated by a UFC legend again on Twitter

This UFC legend is none other than Chael Sonnen. The same UFC legend also exposed Vince McMahon and WWE for publicizing their recruitment of Nate Diaz in the media. For a few weeks, he has been continuously berating Cena on his Twitter handle by commenting on the inspirational tweets of Cena. This time, when Cena was talking about not losing sight of the big picture, it was no different.

Sonnen replied that Cena picked his tweet from the Random Cliché Generator. He even added the fact that this tweet was low, even for Cena’s standards. But the biggest question on fans’ mind is why is Sonnen doing this in the first place. Despite some short-term publicity on the back of Cena, Sonnen is gaining nothing from this fruitless interaction.

Cena has already faced much criticism from WWE fans during his PG era time and Hollywood fans before his DC projects. So, while Sonnen might not offend Cena, the amount of roasting tweets is only growing larger. Will Cena address this type of behavior?
