“MMA People Need to Stop..”: Fans Go Wild as Ric Flair Challenges Joe Rogan

Everyone knows the views the legendary UFC commentator Joe Rogan has about professional wrestling. Something similar recently happened on his Joe Rogan Experience podcast when record producer Rick Rubin appeared on the show.

Rogan’s made some comments over a move that is used in MMA and pro wrestling but has different names. Surprisingly, a WWE legend called out Rogan over those comments.

Recently, Rick Rubin appeared on the Joe Rogan Experience and he talked about his love for wrestling. However, hearing that,  Rogan started laughing about it. 

On top of it, the UFC star also called the 2-time WWE Hall of Famer’s signature move, Figure Four Leg Lock, “Dumb”, as it is basically an Inside Heel Hook in MMA. The Nature Boy didn’t sit back over these comments and called out Rogan on Twitter. 

He wrote, “.@joerogan, You’re Getting A Lot Of Attention For Calling Me Out! The Only Way To Resolve This Is To Have Me On The Show. I’ll Put You In The Figure Four Leg Lock & We’ll See If You Can Take It! LFG! WOOOOO!”

It seems the Naitch didn’t like Rogan’s comments about the legendary move he made iconic throughout his career. Further in the interview, Rubin shared a story of Ric Flair being on the other side of Figure Four Leg Lock.

Surprisingly, the fans were in the support of The Nature Boy and want him to demonstrate the submission move of the UFC commentator.

Apart from the fans, WWE Legend The Iron Sheik also gave his reply.

However, few fans say Flair shouldn’t return to the ring by any means!

A couple of fans take a shot at Joe Rogan! “MMA people need to stop overanalyzing pro wrestling moves. It’s about appearances and theatrics.”

Rogan says Figure Four Leg Lock is deadly in Jiu Jitsu 

Despite laughing at Rubin’s comments about his love for wrestling, and calling Figure Four Leg Lock a “dumb” move, Rogan explained how the same move called Inside Heel Hook is dangerous in Jiu Jitsu.

Rogan said, “I was trying to explain how dumb a Figure Four Leg Lock was because I was like literally giving up an Inside Heel Hook. Because again Inside Heel Hook is one of the most devastating submission techniques.”

He added, “Once someone gets it, the time you have to tap is so small before your knee gets ripped apart. So a Figure Four Leg Lock you will never see in a Jiu-Jitsu competition.”

Rogan called this funny as wrestlers doing a move in the ring is a deadly maneuver outside the industry. Furthermore, he stated the submission move Boston Crab is very effective and a handful of MMA fighters have used it in their matches.
