Brock Lesnar is one of the few athletes who can claim that he prospered in both MMA and pro wrestling. He has had multiple iconic matches in WWE, from completely decimating his opponents during his first run in the company to breaking the streak. And talking about his MMA record, he won the UFC World Heavyweight Championship in his third match. And he boasts an impressive 5-3 win-loss record in his MMA career.

While there have been many people who moved from MMA to professional wrestling, none have been more successful than Ronda Rousey. Her career trajectory from Judo Olympic medalist to MMA and UFC dominator to the biggest WWE superstar has been amazing to watch. And one of the few people who transitioned from pro wrestling to MMA, Brock Lesnar agrees completely.
Brock Lesnar praises Ronda Rousey
In an interview with SportsCenter, Brock Lesnar said, “I think she?s a super athlete in a weak division. I really do. She is a man amongst women in the women?s division. I take my hat off to her, I don’t know how she’s juggling everything – movies, this that and the other; going to Brazil and kicking bu*t over there. I’m not taking anything away from her talent, but she’s a super beast and a super freak in the women’s division.”

While trash-talking and showing people their place is generally his motto, this compliment from Brock Lesnar is huge. But the dominant run of Ronda Rousey had everyone on their seats chanting her name in praise. That is why when the baddest bi*** on the planet moved to WWE, and her first championship match at WrestleMania was destined to be the main event.

While Ronda was not the starting point for the women’s revolution in WWE and pro wrestling, her presence and star power really helped make WWE’s mind when it came to booking women effectively. Alongside her, the four horsewomen of UFC also moved over to WWE. And amongst them, Shayna Baszler had one of the best championships runs in NXT. And a feud between the two would reignite the latter’s career in the main roster as well.
