In one episode of the MMA Hour with Ariel Helwani, Paul revealed that he visited the All-Star Gym in Stockholm, Sweden, for recording his album, which is actually the home of ‘The Wolf.’

Paul has even trained at the All-Star Gym for his rematch with KSI in 2019. While sharing his first interaction with ‘Borz,’ the YouTuber stated that Chimaev gave him a mean look.

“I went to Sweden to train for couple weeks. I went to this gym, and I looked over. And there was this guy kind of staring at me. Big beard he looked like a badas*. It was where (Alexander) Gustafsson trained,” Paul told Helwani. Eventually, this was before the Russian-born fighter was famous.

Paul further revealed it was months later that he realized the guy who gave him a mean look in the Stockholm gym was none other than the hottest UFC prospect, Chimaev.

“Months later, this guy named Khamzat Chimaev had an incredible UFC run. And I am like oh my good that was the guy like mean bugging me in that one gym in the middle of Sweden in Stockholm,” Paul concluded.

Earlier, when ‘Borz’ was a new name, who was racking up wins in the welterweight division, he took a shot at the Paul brothers. He called them out for a boxing match. Although Jake Paul clapped back at him with a tweet, their feud remained on the internet and never turned into an actual fight.

What’s on the table for Khamzat Chimaev

One of the most prominent names in the UFC, Chimaev recently tore into the top-5 of the welterweight division by taking down a top contender earlier this year.

‘The Wolf’ has had only one aim ever since he made his debut in the promotion, to gain the UFC gold. Now in his quest to accomplish that, Chimaev will fight fan favorite Nate Diaz next.

This much-anticipated fight will headline UFC 279 pay-per-view inside the T-Mobile Arena on 10th September 2022. Chimaev wants a shot against the welterweight champion and a win over veteran Diaz will just get him that.
