In an old interview, Dwayne Johnson spoke about Conor McGregor’s display of confidence in and out of the Octagon. The Rock recognized his greatness and also saw a bit of himself in the UFC superstar. DJ also gave an accurate prediction ahead of the UFC fighter’s infamous victory against Jose Aldo at UFC 189.

In an old interview, The Rock admitted he saw flashes of himself, in The Irishman who became a household name in the UFC because of his confidence on the mic.

The Rock said “I love that guy (Conor McGregor)” and added “in Conor, the confidence is not quiet, and it reminds me of how I was in the WWE. I was bold and talking s–t, and there is nothing that I wouldn’t say.”

Moreover, The Rock admitted that McGregor’s confidence speaks volumes as, the latter went into each fight without knowing the outcome, which was not the case for the former wrestler.

“We knew who was gonna win and lose, but, I would do everything I could… to create interest. And Conor’s a smart guy like that. Creates great interest. But, it’s not, by the way, bullsh*t. I mean… Yes, he backs it up!”
