With the creation of TKO Group Holdings, two controversial names began to work together unexpectedly. The UFC and WWE administrations went from a “friendly rivalry” to a business alliance that has allowed the growth of both in some aspects.

Dana White has spoken on multiple occasions about the history he has had with WWE. The president of the Ultimate Fighting Championship made no secret of the fact that Vince McMahon’s administration hindered several opportunities for his company before TKO’s creation. However, the businessman has not failed to point out that both parties have a healthy working relationship. In fact, he was the one to recently reveal all the future plans for WWE and UFC’s PLE in the coming year.

Dana White gives major updates on WWE and UFC PLEs

During a recent press conference, UFC’s Dana White talked about the upcoming PLEs of the UFC as well as the WWE. And if the two shows under TKO could face a date clash. It was while answering this question that White revealed that the WWE PLEs are going back to being held on Sundays. And Fridays and Saturdays are going to have Power Slap and the UFC being aired respectively. “We already have those dates set up right now where Power Slap goes Friday and UFC goes Saturday. You’re going to see Friday, Power Slap, Saturday, UFC, and Sunday, WWE. You’ll start seeing that stuff too.”

This surely means that WWE fans can finally enjoy their Sundays with WWE programs. But this also proves that the WWE and UFC can work side by side in harmony. Another testament to this is the upcoming NXT Battleground 2, as the WWE will join forces with the UFC to organize the PLE.

After joining forces to create TKO Group Holdings, WWE and UFC will finally work together to celebrate the Premium Live Event of the yellow brand, WWE Battleground next Sunday, June 9 of this year. NXT Battleground will be the first WWE event to be held at the UFC APEX in Las Vegas, with this venue normally used for UFC Fight Night, Dana White’s Contender Series and other events.

Earlier it was reported that the PLE would be held in Savannah, Georgia; more specifically at the EnMarket Arena on May 26, 2024. But everything changed after an official statement from the company made it clear that they would not only change the venue of the event but also the date. It is now scheduled for Sunday, June 9. The UFC APEX is a venue that has extremely advanced facilities as it contains three different stages to offer fans the best of shows. So it would surely be exciting to see how the major event of the black and gold turns out.
