Conor McGregor has been one of the most polarizing figures in the UFC domain for ages, owning to plenty of remarkable moments inside and outside the Octagon. That said, his notoriety in the WWE world has also been quite huge as the Irishman has gotten on the nerves of some wrestling bigwigs several times in the past. Fanning the flames of his connection to WWE, now Cody Rhodes chimed in on Conor McGregor’s potential role if he appears in the WWE. The American Nightmare referred to his character to lay out the true essence of the heel-face dynamic.

I want to say the biggest face in all sports, also might be the biggest heel. He could be both, and that might be Conor McGregor because he has a way of drawing people to the show. He has a way, and again, that connection of, I want to see, I hate this guy. I want to see him get his head kicked off, or I love this guy, this is my guy.” Rhodes noted during the latest episode of the Pivot podcast.

Rhodes called out Rock’s heel demeanor 

The Rock vs Cody Rhodes has been the constant talking point in the wrestling universe ever since the former teased a feud before temporarily signing off from the ring. While the nature of their feud will expectedly be terrorizing enough, Rhodes made it even more intriguing, by expressing his seething anger at The Rock’s abrupt heel turn.

Cody Rhodes might be a widely celebrated face. Nevertheless, he has a deeper idea of what a heel primarily denotes. The former AEW star believes being an ideal heel curtails being purely disliked and oozing out an organic malicious aura. Selling merchandise and meeting people with a smiling face outside doesn’t do justice to this role. However, the modern age and ongoing trends have diluted it a lot. To give an instance, Rhodes pointed to The Rock, noting he just utilized the obvious ground of hostility by attempting to take his WrestleMania spot. Otherwise, he is a loved superhero and a fake WWE heel.
