Brock Lesnar has proven again and again why someone should not mess with him. The Beast Incarnate has been a dominant and fierce star at both WWE and UFC. However, due to USADA, he received a suspension for a year for the use of performance-enhancing drugs. After his last bout in 2016, he never returned to UFC and only appeared in a part-time capacity at WWE. But with the latest news of UFC cutting ties with USADA, fans might be in a treat as they could see Lesnar go against a former UFC Fighter of the Year.

Could Brock Lesnar return to UFC?

On October 12th, 2023, Aron Bronstetar of TSN Sports took X (former Twitter) to share the news. According to the news, the UFC will sever its ties with USADA. USADA( the United States Anti-Doping Agency) is an organization charged with ensuring fairness in the sport. They look after the screening of performance-enhancing drugs, educating athletes, and rehabilitating them. Both organizations started working together in 2015, with their partnership coming to an end on January 1st, 2024.

The major reason could be the merger of UFC and WWE. As both entities are under the TKO group, it opens up doors for cross-sport entertainment. The merger happened in September this year. Even though they are functioning individually, they are under the parent company. In the future, there are chances that the TKO group might open up to the possibility of ‘Dream Matches’ for fans. But fans have to wait for any official announcements as WWE is still adjusting to the new authority.
