Jacob Fatu reportedly signed with WWE on April 7th. However, he hasn’t been able to appear in the promotion yet because of certain unforeseen circumstances. Now that his return to WWE seems closer than ever, his supporters are cheering him from the side. One of the names on the list is former AEW star, Josh Barnett.

Jacob Fatu gets cheered from the sidelines

PW Insider recently reported that Jacob Fatu is expected to make his WWE debut anew after several years within the next week. Fightful reposted the news on its official Twitter handle and this caught Josh Barnett’s attention.

The said news excited the MMA and wrestling legend, who went on to tweet in support of the Samoan talent. Barnett said, “Jacob Fatu will kill it.”

Josh Barnett has probably seen Fatu’s work in other promotions and believes that he can nail the performance even in the leading wrestling promotion. The reason why WWE hasn’t yet used Jacob Fatu is not official. However, there were speculations that it was because of his prison past. WWE legend Mark Henry recently shed light on the same on Busted Open and said that Jacob Fatu wants to become a better person for his family.

Barnett and Henry aren’t the only wrestling legends who sided with Jacob Fatu before his big arrival in the Stamford-based company. Jim Cornette had a similar point of view while talking about him.

Jacob Fatu gets picked over new Bloodline member

On SmackDown after Mania, fans witnessed the introduction of Tama Tonga as the latest Bloodline member. Apart from the power dynamic change, the Tongan wrestler’s appearance in WWE was a surprise for many fans. While the Bullet Club founder is certainly a great addition to the heel stable, given his intimidating physique and ruthless character, Jim Cornette believes that he can’t be better than Jacob Fatu.

Talking recently on The Jim Cornette Experience, the ex-WWE employee showed his preference for Jacob Fatu. Although he acknowledged Tama Tonga’s physical appearance, Cornette clearly mentioned that the Samoan talent would be a better addition in The Bloodline. Moreover, the role that Haku’s son is playing the stable would be better if handed over to Jacob Fatu.
