When Brock Lesnar opened up on being a villain in MMA World
A couple of months later, after his fight in 2009, Brock Lesnar appeared at the Mr. Olympia competition. Lesnar shared why he was fine with his villainous UFC 100 promo and didn’t care what anybody thought. He shared this in an interview with Las Vegas Sun Fighting.
The 7-time WWE champion said, “People spend money and want to be entertained. If you don’t feel from UFC 100 that you got your money’s worth, you’re probably not gonna tune into something (with me). It’s good entertainment.”

The former UFC fighter claimed he was fine to be an MMA villain at the time, much like his first run in WWE. One of the plus points of Lesnar was the mic skills he learned in WWE, which helped him to promote himself and his fights.

There are several moments when The Conqueror destroyed his opponents verbally too. Lesnar added, “The old saying… bad press, good press — it’s all the same. Visibility is the key. Making attention, good or bad or whatever people’s opinion is on it, I guess we’re still out there. We’re climbing.”

Lesnar found quick success in UFC capturing the heavyweight title even after losing the first fight. As of now, The Beast is retired from the sport and is enjoying a great time in WWE since returning in 2012.
Lesnar might’ve outshined Jay Cutler’s moment at Mr. Olympia 2009
Bodybuilding legend Jay Cutler won in 2009. However, Lesnar’s presence at the event to promote Dymatize Nutrition products might have really taken away the spotlight from Cutler for some time.

The Beast said, “It went well. I did an autograph signing and had a good showing, a good fan base out there. I think my popularity has kind of exploded.”
He added, “I’ve been to a lot of different autograph signings for my sponsors, but (lately) it’s been a sellout crowd every time.”
