Jeff Hardy made a sensational return last Friday during TNA Against All Odds. When The System continued to assault Joe Hendry and Matt Hardy after the victory, Jeff Hardy stormed through the ring to make the save, marking his first-ever TNA appearance in 7 years. A psyched-up crowd, holding their breath to experience the surreal moment, burst into crazy “welcome back ” chants right at the moment.

After the event went off the air, Brother Nero officially addressed his comeback to the old promotion, dubbing it his new heaven. But did the emotional TNA reunion give away any early hints about the old rumors of his WWE appearance?

The Hardy Boyz carved out a prominent legacy in TNA wrestling before they took over the Stamford-based company in 2017. Jeff Hardy, alone, won a series of accolades, including the World Heavyweight Championship thrice. In 2022, following a WWE fallout, the younger Hardy became an ALL-Elite but eventually packed his bags from there too in just two years. Now, his re-arrival in TNA came off as a full-circle moment in his career.

But regardless of everything, it’s still the golden Hardy’s rule era in WWE that fans ain’t ready to get over yet. While the notion of his full-time return to WWE is visibly off the court, a one-off appearance as part of the latest WWE-TNA crossover trend can be feasible, technically.

But the chance is pretty slim as it currently revolves around NXT talents. AJ Styles might rather be the next one to come head-on with any TNA star as part of the merging. However, let’s just take a quick look at some piled-up mishaps that might not allow Hardy to return to Triple H’s business ever again.

Jeff Hardy could have easily been back in WWE in these years, but he chose not to. The former three-time WWE World Heavyweight Champion is still seemingly holding some grudges over his WWE relationship because of how things have ended in 2021. The creative dissatisfaction got the better of his promising stint in the business.

Hardy’s controversial exit explained

Hardy, 46, had been incredibly popular in WWE for his distinguished talent but wasn’t allowed to reach its full potential. He was even tipped as a jobber to bigwigs like Austin Theory, Lars Sullivan, and Jaxson Ryker, etc.

After clinching the WWE Tag Team Championship at WrestleMania 33  alongside brother Matt Hardy, he was forced to go after titles like the 24/7 championship, which was quite demeaning to his standard. During a house show in Edinburg, Texas, things reached a boiling point and Hardy officially disappeared from the arena for good.
