‘Dumbest Sh*t I’ve Ever F**king Heard’: Sporting World Jeers at Ric Flair’s ‘Insane’ Charlotte Flair Comparison With Serena Williams

Being a father means it’s natural to be proud of your child. A WWE legend, while talking about his daughter, recently felt and spoke something similar. However, Ric Flair’s bold statement wasn’t well-received by the fans. People on the internet jeered at him for comparing Charlotte Flair with Serena Williams, the greatest tennis player of all time. 

Even though some of the female WWE stars, including Flair, rank higher than Williams in Twitter’s most new followers list in 2021, it doesn’t make them equal. Thus, the recent comparison by the proud father set fire to the hearts of fans as they sarcastically disapprove of his claim. 

Fans mock Ric Flair for comparing his daughter to Serena Williams

During one of the recent episodes of his “To Be The Man” podcast, The Nature Boy was asked to name someone who he thinks can surpass his 16 World Title reigns. To which he named her daughter instantly, without even thinking much. 

The Man then said, “I think it would make a statement heard around the world. She would overnight be as big as Serena Williams. Absolutely. She would be recognized in that light.”

As soon as the WWE Hall of Famer spoke of his daughter becoming an overnight success as The Mountain that Plays Tennis, fans objected over Twitter. Some made fun of The Triple Crown champion and pro wrestling while one fan even stated him ‘delusional’.

A lot of fans started mocking the Wrestling God as soon as they heard him stating Charlotte as the next Williams. 

Even the wrestling enthusiasts who love the sport did not agree with what Ric said about her daughter. The fans said that there is no point in comparing a scripted sport and a competitive sport like tennis.

After speaking out these baffling words, Flair did not stop here but explained in detail why he thought The Queen could surpass his title reigns.

While answering the question, Ric also talked about women athletes getting more recognition with each passing day. The sports industry is now more attentive toward women athletes compared to the past.

He then added, “If Charlotte were to break our record, I mean, why not? I can tell you right now, we’re not talking about a 2.5 (the rating), we’re talking about a 3.5 with me and Cena walking out there the day she breaks the record. It’s very conceivable she could.”
