Gunther snubs legendary Intercontinental Champions of the past

Gunther has been known to be true to his heel persona and appear standoffish, especially to his opponents. In an exclusive interview with Gunther during a press conference for Superstar Spectacle, we spoke to the champion about reaching this legacy-defining achievement. Keeping with his persona, he only had a few words for us, straight to the mic. “I don’t live in the past. Everybody, they all had their runs, it’s my time now,” he said.
With numerous legends like Dwayne Johnson, Shawn Michaels, and The Ultimate Warrior having held the title, the title holds WWE’s biggest moments in history.

However, it seems that Gunther isn’t interested in the past of the title, just that he now has the chance to hold it.
