We still cannot believe SummerSlam is here. The biggest party of the summer has just started, but it’s a premature end for the Mysterios. They faced off against The Usos in a very compelling match.

Both tag teams showed guts and glory. An authentic example of how good tag team matches can be if presented in the right way. Rey Mysterio started things off in a high but felt flat fast.

The momentum of the match shifted tides, but the Usos chemistry was unmatched. It was a shot at redemption for the Mysterio family but the Usos reigned supreme.

Dominik performed exceedingly well, given it was his first pay-per-view in front of such a huge, live audience. While the veteran Mysterio tried his best to win, the Usos overpowered him.

The Usos demolish the Mysterios at WWE SummerSlam 2021

The Bloodline spared no expense in making sure they came out retaining their WWE SmackDown Tag Team Championship. The match was even more unique because The Usos are the only twin brothers to hold gold in WWE, while Rey and Dominik are the first father-son tag champions in WWE history. It was only fitting both that both teams faced off against each other at the biggest party of the summer.

But it wasn’t enough as a double super-kick to Rey’s skull followed by a top rope splash ended it all for the Mysterios.
