In a Wrestlemania rematch, The Beast incarnate Brock Lesnar is going to face Seth Rollins for the WWE Universal Championship at SummerSlam. Brock Lesnar cashed in his Money in the Bank contract against Seth Rollins on Extreme Rules to win back his title. But on an episode of Raw Seth won the ten-man battle royal to fight Brock for the title.
This storyline has been very flat because of Brock’s absence until the last episode of Raw when Brock decided to show up and decimate Seth Rollins. Since Pual Heyman has taken over the creative department for Raw, it would be interesting how this story plays out.
Kofi Kingston VS Randy Orton for WWE Championship
This feud goes way back to 2009 when Randy Orton used his influence to push Kofi down the ladder of WWE stardom. But things have changed now as Kofi won the WWE title at the WrestleMania and have challenged Randy Orton now for a SummerSlam showdown. The storytelling has been appealing so far with some great promos. It won’t be surprising to see a violent attack from the Viper on the last episode of Smackdown before SummerSlam. But keeping the current scenario in mind, with the support Kofi is getting for the fans, there seems no reason for Kofi to lose the title to Randy Orton.
Becky Lynch VS Natalya for the Raw Women’s Championship
After a not so appealing feud with Lacy Evans, Becky Lynch looks to defend her title at SummerSlam against Natalya, who won a fatal 4-way match to face Becky for the title. Both of them were a part of a heated promo after Natalya won the fatal 4-way, but selling Becky’s bad knee in each important matchups seems like an overdo. Natalya attacking Becky on the last episode of Raw and putting her in a sharpshooter has given Natalya the upper hand, but Becky Lynch is very likely to retain her title at SummerSlam when she faces Becky in a submission match.
AJ Styles VS Ricochet for United States Championship
This matchup has all the potentials to steal the show this summer considering AJ Styles and Ricochet have already been part of few great matches. The last time these two face each other at Extreme Rules, AJ Styles won the title with a little help from his buddies from Japan, Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson. It would be interesting to see high flying actions from both Ricochet and AJ Styles and also how would the Bullet Club is going to influence the fight.
5-Bayley VS Ember Moon for Smackdown Women’s Championship
Well, WWE tells a story with its supremely talented athletes. But in the Smackdown’s Women Championship match at this SummerSlam, it’s difficult to find any sort of backstory. It’s great to see Bayley and Ember Moon getting the spotlight that both of them deserve but WWE has not put much effort into the character development for this one. Bayley is likely to retain her title at SummerSlam. But it would be very interesting if someone such as Charlotte Flair interferes in this match.
Charlotte Flair vs. Trish Stratus:
Charlotte Flair is possibly one of the best things in the female division of WWE, and The Queen has now challenged one of the very best to do it Trish Stratus and the former seven-time world champion, Trish accepted the fight on the last episode of Smackdown. It’ll be thrilling to see these two elite athletes of two different eras put on a show for the WWE universe this SummerSlam.
Kevin Owens VS Shane McMahon, Kevin Owens will quit WWE, if he loses:
The new voice of the voiceless, Kevin Owens has been the most talk about superstar for the past few weeks and rightfully so. After weeks and weeks of TRP dropping segments of Shane McMahon, Kevin Owens was the one to break the bubble for Shane and let him know that there were more talented guys backstage waiting for their opportunities while Shane was getting all the spotlight. He has also put his hands on Shane on multiple occasions.
And with his win over Drew on the last episode of SmackDown Kevin Owens will be going to SummerSlam on a high note. But the stipulation set for this match is high. If Kevin loses then he quits WWE.
Roman Reigns VS Mystery attacker:
Roman reigns haven’t had any fascinating feud for a meaningful amount of time. His feud with Samoa Joe seemed fun for the fans considering how good Joe is at playing a heel, but the attack on Roman Reigns on the last week Smackdown has opened up new possibilities. Few images leaked on social media has kept the fan guessing that it was Buddy Murphy who attacked Roman. Few also suspect that it’s Cedric Alexander which is very unlikely. But the mystery attacker will be revealed in the next week on the go-home episode of RAW.
The Fiend VS Finn Balor:
One of the very few things WWE has done right in its last few months is Bray Wyatt’s new gimmick “The Fiend” and the segments of Firefly Fun House. The Fiend has appeared a few times and has attacked Balor and legendary Mick Foley. The aura around the characters of Bray Wyatt has always been intriguing and appealing to the audience. It’ll be wise for WWE to make Finn Balor face The Fiend instead of The Demon. If the Demon faces The Fiend, no matter what the result will be but WWE will lose for sure because of both characters being two of the best in WWE in the current scenario. Even without the Demon, this match is going to get quite an attention to the hottest show of this summer.

Shinsuke Nakamura VS Ali for the Intercontinental Championship:
After missing his big push due to injury, Ali is back aiming for the intercontinental Championship now. It’s one of those matches on the card which has the potential to be a show stopper. It’s great for the fans to watch Sinshuke with a title. And with a win over the champion Nakamura, Ali can’t be counted out in this match.
