After a successful season of XFL, Dwayne Johnson has plans to expand his network in other sports too. Rumors of Johnson partnering up with prominent personalities to make a documentary with the soccer club Southend United started coming out earlier this week. However, it seems there is a bit of a roadblock in the same while ‘The Brahma Bull’ is planning to follow in the footsteps of his friend, Ryan Reynolds. But his dream will take time to materialize as per a recent report.
Dwayne Johnson might lose the Southend United dream

In the recent court hearing on Monday, Judge Sebastian Prentis shared the information that there was a “genuine interest” from a potential buyer. This might end the dream of the WWE legend to have his soccer team and make a documentary regarding its process.
As per an article covered by us previously stated, Seven Buck Productions is in talks with a local entrepreneur for a documentary. Moreover, the potential talks “coincide with the recent court orders secured by the ailing club.”
Moreover, Judge Prentis said, “There is genuine interest from a party who appears to have the fund….It is, as Ms Stonefrost said, significant and encouraging…..There is a possibility that the petition may simply be dismissed.”
Nevertheless, he shared concise information about Southend United, which might be unfortunate for The Rock. Barrister Hilary Stonefrost, representing the football club, had presented all these recent developments to Judge Prentis.
Furthermore, as per the report, Ms. Stonefrost has clarified to the judge that they will raise funds to clear the HMRC debt and pay other creditors. However, this might be an immense blow for DJ, who earned a $1.5 million fortune as of today and planned to document the current story of the soccer club as Reynolds did. However, the Deadpool star did the same in 2020.
Which football club story did Ryan Reynolds document?
‘The People’s Champion’ is planning to follow in Reynolds’ footsteps in the soccer world. Back in the year 2020, the Deadpool star, along with Rob McElhenney, purchased the Welsh team Wrexham AFC.
The Jumanji star purchased XFL from Vince McMahon in 2020 and surely be planning to expand his network in other sports by different means. Reynolds and McElhenney documented the journey in the documentary called “Welcome To Wrexham” and DJ is reportedly planning to do so.
