CM Punk subdued Drew Mclntyre in his homeland once again, but it’s not only Mclntyre whom he served a blow, rather he hit the spot on the ego of Rangers (a soccer club that are rivals of Celtic) that features the Scotsman all over their social media channels lately. So, consequently, Mclntyre’s misery propelled rival club Celtic to experience their seventh heaven.

The Chicago favorite was seen in one of the club’s Celtic shops days ahead of the Clash at the Castle PLE, foreshadowing his potential intervention. When the Second City Saint finally followed through with the tease and ended up dealing massive damage to his WWE rival, the soccer club expressed their gratitude to the hometown hero in a quick tweet.

The match between Drew Mclntyre and Damian Priest was one of the most intriguing junctures of the exaggerated night, as it was extremely tricky to anticipate the outcome. On one hand, it was unfathomable to think of Mclntyre’s defeat given how he has so far been snubbed in the big title matches in the past, CM Punk’s looming threat, at the same time,  hinting toward an unthinkable disaster. Finally, the suspicion came true with Punk distracting Mclntyre in a referee’s T-shirt which made the Judgment Day member dish out his finisher and retain the title. Bursting in joy, Celtic posted on their official Twitter handle: ”CM Punk, thank you.”

They made a separate post on Instagram as well.
