After weeks of speculations and a brief appearance last week, Sonya Deville is officially back in WWE. She made her return on this week’s SmackDown (January 8).
After a heated interaction with Roman Reigns, WWE Official Adam Pearce was seen talking to someone on the phone as Deville walked in. Judging from her attire and according to Adam Pearce, Deville will work with him to run things more smoothly on the Blue Brand.
The former MMA fighter then cut a promo about her return and said it is a new year and a new beginning for her. She agreed how the last year was crazy!

She even slightly taunted Mandy Rose as she said, “It’s not like I’m sitting here bitter about the fact that my former best friend beat me in a loser leaves WWE match and went to RAW and joined a random new tag team and left my career in shambles.
“I’m grateful and happy for the opportunity. I want to learn and I want to help you, genuinely. I feel like you need it,” Deville concluded.
Sonya Deville will act as an official on SmackDown
Deville had to leave WWE last year at SummerSlam as her then-best friend Mandy Rose defeated her in a no disqualification ‘loser leaves WWE’ match. Last week, SmackDown commentator Corey Graves revealed she was back on the roster.
After the altercation with Reigns, Pearce would definitely need some reinforcements. This would be the first time we would see Sonya Deville as an official.

Although Sonya has hinted at the bad blood between her and Rose, we are not sure if she would actually face her and move over to Raw.
