After 70 weeks, WWE SmackDown greeted live audiences in the Toyota Center of Houston, Texas. The show ended with Seth Rollins winning a fatal four-way match against Big E, Kevin Owens, and Shinsuke Nakamura.
But the fun and celebrations were not over. One of the great things about live shows is that a lot of things happen when the show goes off the air after the time slot. On the first night with WWE Universe, the off-airs segments were back.
The show ended with Seth Rollins grabbing the MITB Briefcase from SmackDown and leaving. After the show went off the air, Rollins addressed the crowd and said, he will be the “future and forever Mr. Money in the Bank.”

Before leaving, Kevin Owens wanted to shake Rollins’ hand for good measures, but Rollins refused. A bunch of superstars including Cesaro, Rick Boogs, Dolph Ziggler, Finn Balor, Apollo Crews, Commander Azeez, King Shinsuke Nakamura, and Shane Thorne came out for an impromptu battle royal.
Big E won the match after last eliminating Apollo Crews. The superstars thanked the fans as they greeted them with applause. ‘The Powerhouse of Positivity’ shared some heartfelt words before leaving the arena.

“Houston… hey, I’ll keep it real man. We spent the last year and a half looking at screens, doing the best we can, but I could not imagine a better crowd in the United States than Houston, Texas,” Big E said as the crowd cheered on.
“This is what we love, and we love doing it in front of each and every one of you. You guys are incredible. Thank you for your energy, thank you for being loud, thank you for showing up.”

Big E is positive about winning the Money in the Bank contract on Sunday
The former member of New Day has a good chance of winning the briefcase on Sunday. On SmackDown, he reiterated those same feelings to Paul Heyman.
He asked Heyman to not be “sour” and cracked jokes about Edge, putting Roman Reigns into a chokehold early on. Big E then danced away from Heyman and Kayla Braxton.
