WWE prohibited blood from its programming after the start of the PG era. Even in its YouTube videos, WWE puts a black and white filter whenever there is blood on the screen. However, tonight’s SmackDown (5.02,21) left a seasoned wrestler like Cesaro bleeding in front of thousands of ThunderDome fans.

After some weeks of buildup, Daniel Bryan and Cesaro, two of the best technical wrestlers in WWE, fought each other one-on-one. Bryan focused on the Cesaro’s arm from the very beginning.

With back-to-back offenses, Bryan dominated his opponent. However, Cesaro found some openings with his uppercuts. Bryan countered by putting him into an armbar and tried to transition it into a Yes Lock.

At this point, we saw that Cesaro had busted open and was bleeding from the side of his head. However, he somehow broke the Yes Lock and tried to go for a corkscrew uppercut but failed.

Cesaro won the match with the Sharpshooter

Following some failed attempts to pin Cesaro, Bryan started getting frustrated. After some stomps from Bryan, Cesaro recovered and dropped a big backbreaker on Bryan.

Cesaro then went for the Cesaro swing, followed by the Sharpshooter. Bryan tapped out to the submission hold after a while.
