This week’s SmackDown (6/11) saw a heavyweight tag team match between the duo of Big E, and Kevin Owens against Sami Zayn, and the Intercontinental Champion Apollo Crews, with Azeez. The latter team was severely defeated in the opening match.
Owens got the victory over the Heel team as he nailed Sami Zayn with a stunner after skillfully dodging the Helluva kick. After the match, Owens and E stood victorious in the middle of the ring, as Azeez and Sami checked up on Crews at ringside.
Big E and Owens were leaving the ring when Apollo stopped them. He said he only lost to the duo because he was paired up with the “idiot” Sami Zayn. He then proceeded to challenge the former IC champions to a tag team match next week, but this time he would team up with Azeez.

Azeez to make his SmackDown debut next week!
Next week would be Azeez’s first match on WWE SmackDown. The former football player had a brief appearance on WWE RAW Underground under his previous name ‘Dabba Kato.’
Azeez, whose real name is Babatunde Aiyegbusi, was a Minnesota Vikings member. He signed up with WWE Performance Center in 2016 and debuted on NXT later that year.
He had brief appearances on NXT Evolve before coming to RAW and developing a winning streak on Underground. However, Braun Strowman broke the streak, hinting at a rivalry.
Azeez disappeared from TV after that. He returned at WrestleMania 37 where he played a crucial part in helping Crews win the IC title from Big E in the Nigerian Drum Fight.
