Sami Zayn was incensed over the blatant favoritism being displayed by WWE. Despite being the WWE Intercontinental Champion, the officials overlooked him and preferred the likes of Daniel Bryan. Zayn complained how WWE Officials made a non-title match between him and Bryan without consulting him.
Before tonight’s match, Zayn came up to the ring and ranted about how WWE management was trying to sabotage him. Bryan came up to the ring amidst fan cheers.
The match started as Zayn stalled the ‘People’s Champion’ for some time. Zayn gained the upper hand as he stomped and headbutted him.
