“Because Edge, who has complete 100% control, told WWE management that he wanted his next opponent to be Rollins! Therefore, Cesaro could not beat Rollins.”
These are definitely some groundbreaking pieces of information. These help the fans piece the puzzle of the matches together. Cesaro lost his Hell in a Cell match out of nowhere after Rollins rolled him up.
Cesaro and Bayley teamed up in the opening match to fight Bayley and Seth Rollins. The latter team won, and Bayley got the pin.

How will Edge vs Seth Rollins work in WWE?
On the latest edition of SmackDown (6/25), after Seth Rollins got the win in the opening match, he went to WWE officials Adam Pearce and Sonya Deville.
‘The Kingslayer’ gave a long speech on how he should be the next contender for Roman Reigns‘ Universal title. Although they could not confirm anything, both Sonya and Adam said they would think about it.
Fast forward to the main event where Roman Reigns and Paul Heyman were ridiculing every past contender. Just when they were about to announce something huge, Edge made his shocking return to SmackDown and attacked Reigns and Jimmy Uso.
Fans last saw Edge at WrestleMania 37 when he lost to Reigns. He has returned to WWE after over two months and has laid the foundation for the rematch at Money in the Bank next month.

Since Seth Rollins is playing a very vengeful person on TV, he would definitely not appreciate Edge showing up to ‘steal’ his momentum. After Edge’s MITB match, he would go after the Hall of Famer.
