In the past few weeks, Jey Uso has become an integral part of the ‘Tribal Chief’ Roman Reigns‘ dominance over SmackDown. As the Universal Champion secured his spot (and opponent) for the Royal Rumble, Uso was not far behind.
Tonight’s SmackDown (15/1/21) kicked off with the match between Jey Uso and Shinsuke Nakamura. It was the fallout of Uso and Reigns’ attack on Nakamura last week.
Before the match, Uso announced that he will be a part of the 30-Man Royal Rumble. He also announced that if he wins the Battle Royale, he will challenge Drew McIntyre or Goldberg or whoever is the WWE Champion.

Earlier, Uso had said he and his ‘bloodline’ control WWE, not Adam Pearce or Kevin Owens. From fresh towels to hot food in the locker room and millions of fans each week, Reigns and Uso’s bloodline provides it all.
Pearce defied them and would now have to learn his lesson the hard way. During the segment, Uso got massive heat from the fans with thunderous boos.
Cesaro returned and announced his entry into the Royal Rumble
After last week’s assault, Nakamura was out for blood in the first match. However, before anything could happen, Nakamura came out and dropped some major ‘truth bombs’ on Uso.
Using his old theme, the ‘King of Strong Style’ came down to the ring. Last week, he was unstoppable and defeated three men to almost win the gauntlet match. However, Uso and Reigns interrupted.
This week, Nakamura came down and straight-up called Jey Uso “a puppet” of “The Big Dog.” Uso went on to attack Nakamura but got kicked in the head.

In the match, Nakamura’s former tag team partner Cesaro joined in on the commentary. Cesaro too announced his entry in the Royal Rumble match and said he will go after Reigns if he wins the Battle Royale as revenge.

Nakamura won the match with an incisive Kinshasa on Uso’s exposed skull. Nakamura gave Uso an insight into reality as he claimed that Reigns was using Uso for personal gains. For weeks, Uso has played the role of Reigns’ enforcer, and it’s pretty clear that Roman does not think of him as anything more than that.
