On the last Friday Night SmackDown, Kevin Owens beat Sami Zayn to qualify for the Money in the Bank ladder match. Not only is KO confident about the win, but he has also set his sights on the world champion.
After SmackDown, Owens appeared on Talking Smack. After a few topics, he shifted the focus to his future opponent for when he wins the MITB contract.
It seems KO is not over his rivalry with WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns. On the show, “The Prizefighter” called The Tribal Chief’s special counsel Paul Heyman. McAfee suggested calling using *67 so that Heyman won’t know it was Owens.

When Heyman picked up the phone, Owens revealed his identity and asked him not to hang up. He proceeded to send a warning to Roman Reigns.
“A few months ago, I came on Talking Smack and I told you I was going after that MITB contract. Last night I qualified for the MITB ladder match,” he said. Owens wanted to send the message to Heyman personally, but could not.
He continued, “I’m going to win the MITB contract. I’m one step closer, so make sure that Roman Reigns knows. Once I get that contract, I am coming for him and there’s not a godda*n thing he can do about it.”
Heyman simply disconnected the call with, “Sir, I’m sorry. You must have the wrong number.” Owens did not mind, as he is determined to win the MITB contract and challenge Reigns.

Owens vs Reigns’ first match was a standard TLC match, whereas the Royal Rumble match was a last-man-standing match. Interestingly, Kevin Owens defeated Sami Zayn in the same last-man-standing match on SmackDown.
