Renee Young quit WWE following SummerSlam. However, a recent announcement claimed that she is making a comeback during FOX’s WWE SmackDown anniversary.

In celebration of the illustrious arrival of the second season of Friday Night SmackDown on FOX, FOX Sports’ WWE personalities will come together for a special SmackDown Kickoff Show on Friday, Oct. 16. WWE Hall of Famer Booker T and FOX analyst Renee Paquette, known lovingly by the WWE Universe as Renee Young, will host a bevy of WWE Superstars and special guests live from the brand new WWE ThunderDome in Orlando. The Friday Night SmackDown Kickoff Show begins at 7:30/6:30 C leading into the season premiere of the blue brand on FOX at 8/7 C. In addition, check out WWE: The Best Moments of 2020 on Sunday, Oct. 11, an exciting look back at the year’s biggest stars and most memorable moments in WWE.”

She will not be the only former WWE employee to return for the anniversary. Booker T will make an appearance as well. Both of them will be interviewing Superstars and guests live from the WWE ThunderDome.

The news of her return came across as an absolute delight for her fans, and they have been ecstatic on social media since FOX made the news public.

However, some fans aren’t quite clear on what is happening. Their assumption is that Young is returning to WWE, which is not the full truth.

Renee Young is no longer under a WWE contract. However, she continues to be a part of her contract with FOX. Hence, she can make her special appearance during the SmackDown kickoff.

As a result, a number of fans have taken it upon themselves to clarify this for others.

Renee is one of the better known individuals in the wrestling universe. She made a name for herself as a backstage interviewer. Following that, she went on to becoming a presenter and a commentator.

She quit WWE since she felt that her time at the company had reached its peak. She wanted to step out of the Renee Young persona and move forward with her real name – Renee Paquette.

Furthermore, ever since her husband, Jon Moxley, left the company for AEW, there were speculations that she would quit soon. Nevertheless, she hasn’t yet given any update about joining Tony Khan’s company.
