WWE has a way of intriguing the audience before making a big revelation. The company did so with Retribution and has done it with the SmackDown Mystery Woman – Carmella.

In the past couple of episodes, clips of the arena and from the backstage showed a mystery woman writing “untouchable” with a lipstick. Finally, on the latest episode, the Blue Brand revealed that Carmella is, in fact, the Mystery Woman.

Carmella cut a promo where she passed on a message to her fans. Within that segment, she put emphasis on the importance of finding the way back. She believes that she could not reach greater heights since she was playing by the rules.

She ends the segment by pressing upon the fact that she’s not anybody’s princess anymore, she’s Carmella! Hence, clarifying that whether she is on the Red Brand or Blue, she’ll be untouchable.

“Sometimes you need to take a good, hard look in the mirror to remember who you are. And I admit it, I forgot. I got a little lost along the way. But I know exactly who to blame: and that’s you, all of you. You wanted me to do things your way, play by your rules. You wanted me to dance around, have fun. Look where that got me — absolutely nowhere. But then I remembered: I’m Carmella. I’m better than each and every one of you. You know what I’m not, though? I’m not your princess anymore.”

Carmella took a leave before COVID-19

The last time Carmella was on television was during the Money in the Bank match. She was a part of the ladder match for the women’s briefcase. However, she took a leave from the company right before Coronavirus hit at full force.

Following that, she made an appearance on Corey Graves’ After the Bell podcast. There, she revealed details about her quarantine at Pittsburgh.

“The crazy run after the Royal Rumble and standard business, we actually found ourselves with five days off where we didn’t have to get on an airplane, prior to the pandemic kicking in. So we’re like you know what, let’s just sit at home this week, and let’s do nothing. Let’s not go out and order takeout. Little did we know five days later, it would not be an option anymore.”
