WWE Hall of Famer Booker T gives his views on former Tag Team Champion Big E now having his singles run. Big E currently has to go the distance alone due to injuries to his New Day stablemates Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston.
Big E is known for multiple successes as a tag team wrestler. He is an eight-time tag team champion with The New Day.
However, the NXT faithful will remember the impact the big man had as a single star in the Black and Gold brand. He defeated a dominant Seth Rollins to capture the NXT Championship.

Unfortunately, Big E could not dominate the main roster like he did at NXT. He was cover for then-champion Dolph Ziggler and AJ Lee.
Later, he went on to have a strong 167 day run as the Intercontinental champion. However, WWE randomly took him off the singles card.
Big E was teamed up with Kofi Kingston and Xavier woods. This got the fans confused as WWE was teasing a stable even though Big E was doing good in the singles division.
Soon, the trio would be formed together as The New Day and the rest is history. The trio has been tag team champions a record 8 times. They are also the longest-reigning tag team champions at 483 days.
Now, for the first time since the stable was formed, Big E has the chance to embark upon a solo run.

Booker T feels Big E will have to leave some things behind to be the guy in the WWE
On the WWE Hall of Fame podcast, Booker T revealed that according to him, leaving the things he did with the New Day behind will be crucial for a Big E singles run.
The former world champion stresses how important it is to evolve in order to reach the top.
“I think Big E is going to have to shed a few things in order for people to look at him like the world champion. Big E still trying to be the New Day is not going to work for him as far as him working at the top of the card. I’m talking about being the main attraction. I’m talking about being the guy that the company has put in position to be the guy. You can’t rehash something that you’ve been doing for so long and think that’s what’s going to take you to the next level.”

Booker T remembers having a conversation with BIG E. He motivated Big E and told him to keep faith in himself as his good times are yet to come.
“I talked to Big E maybe a year and a half ago and I could tell he wasn’t in the best place. I think it was right after Kofi won the title actually and I said ‘trust me, bro, your time is coming. Your run is going to actually happen.’ And he looked at me and I could see he was almost like ‘Nah, it ain’t going to happen.’ I said ‘trust me, it’s going to happen for you cause you’re talented, just keep doing what you’re doing.’”
The WWE universe last saw the KofiMania revolution. That revolution was so strong that Kofi went on to defeat Daniel Bryan at the show of shows and become WWE champion.
