Ronda Rousey’s possible return

Reportedly, there have been rumors that former WWE Superstar Ronda Rousey had been training for a potential comeback and could appear in the women’s rumble match. ‘The Rowdy’ Ronda had already stunned the WWE Universe in 2018 with a shocking debut at Royal Rumble. Recently on Twitter, Becky Lynch responded to Fightful‘s Sean Ross Sapp post, that allegedly, WWE is “pushing” for a Ronda Rousey return at the Royal Rumble.

Becky Lynch and Ronda Rousey have a history in the WWE since her last match was at WrestleMania 35. It was against Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch in a triple-threat match for both SmackDown and RAW women’s titles. In September 2021, Ronda Rousey gave birth to her daughter La’akea Browne. Since then, there has been a buzz around in the WWE that Ronda Rousey might return at the Royal Rumble 2022. In this way, Ronda Rousey could renew her rivalry with Becky Lynch leading to a match at WrestleMania 38.

Along with Ronda Rousey, Fightful Select also reported that WWE Superstar Kairi Sane’s name has been coming up lately inside the WWE. The company is considering putting Kairi Sane inside the ring for Royal Rumble. She has not wrestled for WWE in a year and a half. They said nothing is confirmed yet; however, WWE has done an excellent job when it comes to surprise returns in the Royal Rumble.

Will former WWE Champion enter the ring?

There are eight open spots for possible WWE participants in the WWE Men’s Royal Rumble match. This Sunday, the Royal Rumble will take place in St. Louis. The Fightful Select confirmed with WWE sources that the former WWE Champion Kurt Angle would be in St. Louis.

However, Fightful does not have details about the Olympic gold medalist Kurt Angle making a surprise return at the Men’s Royal Rumble.

As per Ringside News, both Shane McMahon and Bad Bunny will be in the men’s Royal Rumble match on Saturday night. They mentioned that a tenured member from the creative team used the “Mean Rabbit” code backstage. They were told, “There are no code words. That’s stupid. Bad Bunny always looking to do more with WWE.” The WWE Universe loves Bad Bunny, and it’s a perfect setup to see Bad Bunny in the Royal Rumble.

Royal Rumble Rumors on Bayley and Asuka!

Last year, former SmackDown Women’s Champion Bayley suffered from an ACL injury, and since then, she has been out of the ring.

However, a few weeks ago, WWE Superstar Bayley teased the WWE Universe of her surprise return. Bayley provided an update on her knee injury on an Instagram stream. She also posted a Tweet saying, “Well, I wanna wrestle.”

In the women’s division, we can also predict the return of the winner of the first-ever women’s Royal Rumble winner, Asuka. According to Andrew Zarian of the Mat Men Podcast, Asuka could make her in-ring return at the Royal Rumble 2022. He stated it can happen as she should be medically cleared since her injury during a match against Shayna Baszler. With various spots left to fill in the 2022 Women’s Royal Rumble match, Asuka would be an ideal expansion in the event that she’s been cleared to compete.

The Deadman Undertaker at Royal Rumble 2022

The former WWE Divas Champion, Michelle McCool, has also been announced to be appearing in the rumble this year. She is looking for her return ahead of the Royal Rumble. However, her husband, The Undertaker, might appear in the Royal Rumble crowd to support McCool.

He can be either backstage with other wrestlers to watch his wife’s in-ring action. Rumors have not been confirmed about ‘The Phenom’ getting in the 2022 Royal Rumble.
