The WWE Royal Rumble PLE finally wrapped up, and what followed was a post-event press conference. During the conference, Triple H many topics arose as the center of discussion. The event couldn’t come to a close without bringing up the ‘forbidden door’ moment between WWE and TNA during the women’s Royal Rumble event.
Triple H takes digs at Tony Khan for using outdated terms in a dynamic business landscape
While paying respect to his competing promotion, Triple H also took a shot at AEW and its head honcho. The CCO of WWE said, “I’m not gonna use all the cliched terms about what door people go through or anything like that ’cause it’s stupid and silly.”

This was a direct callout to Tony Khan, who calls his partnership with NJPW the ‘Forbidden Door’. According to “The Game” it’s an outdated term to use. Instead, the former wrestler wants to give TNA its due respect by calling Jordynne Grace‘s appearance a ‘partnership’ instead of a ‘forbidden door’.
Most likely, this partnership emerged as a result of the agreement that both Endeavor and TNA signed weeks ago. Since Endeavor owns WWE following their merger, this makes it easier for the Stamford-based company to deal with its competitors. Since WME doesn’t TNA, so it is not likely for the roster to get merged into one. However, it would make sense if we see more crossover appearances in the future.

WWE fans praise Triple H for TNA crossover
The women’s Royal Rumble event started with a bang when Naomi returned to the promotion as the second entrant. When fans thought that this would be the surprise they were waiting for, WWE hit them with another one. As the fifth entrant in the event, we were introduced to Jordynne Grace, who is the TNA Knockouts World Champion.
While this crossover was surprising in itself, Grace didn’t fail to make her presence felt inside the squared circle. The muscular wrestler took her time to display her strength against each wrestler present in the ring. Although she was eliminated eventually, the World Champion showed how she has managed to amass three reigns as a title holder.
