In 2018, during The Joe Rogan Experience #1166, Rogan and Diamond Dallas Page had a chat about The Hulkster. During a segment of the podcast, both the stars discussed his role in the Rocky III movie. The podcast host expressed his astonishment over the fact of how gigantic he looked while standing opposite Stallone.

DDP also shared the same reaction as him. The UFC color commentator then continued to further elaborate on his point on Hogan’s massive physique. He mentioned how intimidated the 76-year-old Hollywood actor looked during the Rocky Balboa vs Thunderlips match.

He said, And you also got to see how goddamn big he is. We see him next to Stallone; we go woaahhh. When he picks Sly up his neck, like holy sh*t and then they go through the whole thing and afterward Hulk is like smiling and laughing with him. And Stallone was like, ‘Oh alright, you a little rough out there homie.’”

He added, ” That was a big moment in the film too. For a lot of people thought pro wrestling is fake, well, like ain’t nothing fake about that. It’s entertainment. But if you don’t think that f*king difficult to do, like look at the size difference… Jesus Christ. He [Hogan] did look fantastic.”

The 55-year-old podcaster then addressed the very fact that people often call pro wrestling fake. But they often forget how much of a reality aspect an acting gig carries. The Hulkster manhandling Sylvester Stallone in the movie is a very tough scene to film. Though it’s acting, the physical action was quite real.

Even Hogan in an interview, mentioned how close he was to accidentally hurting his co-star while filming the movie scenes. This proves that neither acting nor pro wrestling is fake. Yes, the storylines and plots are, but not the performances are very much real in both fields.

Hogan really showed his physical prowess against a well-built Stallone and delivered a performance that was short but etched in the memory of fans forever.
