After Hell in a Cell, Drew McIntyre lost his rights to Bobby Lashley’s WWE Championship. However, he has secured a spot at the upcoming Money in the Bank match. So could Brock Lesnar come back and attack his old nemesis?

Recently, legendary pro wrestling journalist Bill Apter sat with WrestlingInc to discuss Brock Lesnar’s return to WWE. He believes there are a lot of factors going into a new rivalry.

WWE has teased the match between Lesnar and Lashley innumerable times. According to reports, WWE promised Lashley a match with the Beast Incarnate.

The veteran journalist has an interesting perspective on this situation as well. “It’s something that will draw very well. I’m talking sports wise but there are a lot of big matches, I noticed, that Brock chokes, He doesn’t do as well as he should.” Apter said to WrestlingInc.

We saw the last of Lesnar when he lost to Drew McIntyre at WrestleMania 36. Although a McIntyre vs Lesnar feud seems very good, for the time being, Apter thinks WWE will focus on the Roman Reigns and Paul Heyman angle more.

Apart from Brock Lesnar, Bill Apter also spoke about Bobby Lashley vs Drew McIntyre

Speaking of McIntyre, Apter commended the Lashley vs McIntyre rivalry. According to him, the HIAC match was a testament to McIntyre and Lashley’s athleticism and made them both look good.

“I saw his back, it looked like lashes from Lashley, but Bobby Lashley, another guy who has improved so much, just in his appearance, because when you talk about a sports champion, he looks that part perfectly,” Apter said.

In addition to it, Apter called Drew a “consummate athlete in that ring“. He also commended MVP for his timely interference, especially how he handled the beat-down from Drew McIntyre.

Drew McIntyre is a consummate athlete in that ring, as well, and Lashley, although he was beaten up a lot in that match, and it was manager interference, and a lot of people didn’t think MVP could still handle anything like that, but he did.

Now that McIntyre is barred from making any advances to the WWE Championship, Apter thinks the Scottish Warrior will do well in the Blue Brand. For the time being, Apter believes the fans will be in favor of McIntyre in the MITB match.

For Lashley, Apter said fans may not like him, but “when he got up that ramp and they raised his hand when he had the belt, he still looked like a hell of a champion. He looks like a boxer or MMA fighter. He put on a very good performance.”
