WWE Payback is only a week away. This is one of the first times WWE is hosting back to back pay-per-views. Hence, it was obvious that the creative would book rushed feuds to make matches. As expected, the company announced some new matches on Monday Night Raw. Most recently, WWE announced the next opponent of Randy Orton.

He challenged the Viper Randy Orton for a singles match. Previously in the night, Orton injured WWE champion Drew McIntyre with two punt kicks to the skull.
The match was looking great until Drew interfered and the match ended in a count-out. After few hours of the event, WWE announced on Instagram that Keith Lee would face Randy Orton at WWE PayBack for a proper rematch.
Lee had lost his NXT Championship on NXT: TakeOver XXX, just the night before SummerSlam.
Fans were furious because Keith lost just 52 days after he won the title from Adam Cole. However, with the news of his Raw Debut, they were content.

The rivalries and the matches may seem rushed because WWE only has one more date to solidify the feuds for Payback. WWE will probably put social media platforms into good use.
WWE Payback will take place inside the WWE ThunderDome on August 30, 2020.
