Last night, at WWE Royal Rumble 2021, R-Truth almost committed an error that could ahve significantly affected his legacy. He lost the title twice, first to Alicia Fox and then to WWE pre-show panelist Peter Rosenberg.
Rosenberg appeared on the Michael Kay Show ahead of this week’s RAW (2/1/21) to co-host it on the ESPN New York 98.7 FM and the YES Network. He also had a 24/7 Championship reveal ceremony.
During the segment, Rosenberg revealed how he held the title for nearly 24 hours, and he was hoping to go to WrestleMania. When asked about his ‘trickery’ ahead of the win, Rosenberg said all the WWE Legends like Ric Flair and Bobby “The Brain” Heenan have done it in the past.

R-Truth is now a 48-time 24/7 Champion
After getting the title back from Rosenberg and Alicia Fox, R-Truth is now a 48-time champion. This is a record in itself, as no one in the history of world wrestling would have this many title reigns.
R-Truth became best known for his comic timing. Many believe WWE inaugurated this title as a running gag for the main roster, but Truth took its reins and made it into one of the most popular segments on RAW.

Recently, in an interview with Sports Illustrated, Truth revealed his honest thoughts on the championship. “It seemed like everybody disliked the 24/7 title at the beginning, That’s the beauty of R-Truth—the character can make anything make sense.
“Wrestling is supposed to be fun, and this belt is entertaining. Entertaining people is what I’m supposed to do, and I love on-the-spot thinking. Vince has me come up with my own ideas, and that’s easy for me to do because I love making people laugh,” R-Truth reiterated.
