Former WWE Champion Drew McIntyre has published a memoir chronicling his journey from a fan to a prominent wrestler. The book named “A Chosen Destiny: My Story” was available earlier in May.

Along with the hardcover and paperback version, McIntyre also published an audiobook for the masses. The ‘Scottish Psychopath‘ recently shared a clip where he and his wife Kaitlyn Frohnapfel were recording a particular portion of the book regarding their marriage.

In the short Instagram clip captioned “This is EXACTLY how Kaitlyn accepted my proposal,” McIntyre was seen reading the lines. The lines recall the time when McIntyre proposed Kaitlyn with the words. You can check the full video below –

Drew McIntyre reveals why he wrote a book on his journey

Usually, professional wrestlers (or any athlete) write a memoir when they retire. Considering how McIntyre is still at the peak of his career, writing a memoir might be considered rather odd. The Superstar disclosed the reason for this ‘untimely memoir in an exclusive interview with The inSide Kradle.

Turns out, McIntyre’s house had a huge role to play in the memoir. He and Kaitlyn reside in Tampa, Florida, and McIntyre envisioned the memoir the first time he saw the house.

Although the house was a bit expensive for them at first, McIntyre made up his mind. “I went in and looked around it and I loved the house, and I was like, ‘I really love the house!’ And there was a little table just outside the office here that I looked at. I thought to myself, ‘One day I’ll pin my memoirs on that table right there,’ and I said that to her.”

Taking inspiration from Sylvester Stallone in ‘Rocky,’ McIntyre persisted about the house and his career. “I saw myself in this house. I saw myself one day doing my memoirs on that table. But yeah, that’s crazy that now I have that book right here, and I did a lot of it just outside this office room,” said McIntyre.
